The Winter Research Symposium provides doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers across all six faculties with a structured opportunity to present their work to a University-wide audience. Unlike faculty-specific seminars, the Symposium deliberately mixes disciplines. Presentations are 20 minutes followed by 10 minutes of questions.

The highest-ranked candidate across all faculties receives the Aldenmoor Prize for Outstanding Doctoral Research, which carries a certificate and an honorarium of £3,000.
